LOAD Day 14

29 Sep

Today’s challenge was to stamp on a layout.  I stamped on the little heart-it says I Love You Most (in case you can’t read it.)

I Love You Most

Supplies: Paper: Basic Grey, Amy Tangerine, Jillibean (heart); Letters: American Crafts; Button: Crate Paper; Doilies: Maya Road; Stamp: Unity; Mists: Studio Calico (Dewey, Shine)

Journaling (on back): We always say this in our house.  One person says “I love you.”  The next gets to say “I love you more.”  The person that then says “I love you the mostest,” wins.  Abby tries to always be the winner, so usually I end up saying, “Doh, you win again!”  🙂  Picture taken: 5/9/10 Journaling: 9/29/11

I sprayed the heart with Dewey mist to darken the color-it was just too bright a pattern for the layout otherwise.  I also sprayed the doilies with Dewey, and then with Shine.  This is my first use of Shine, and I LOVE it-amazing stuff!!!!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!  🙂

LOAD Day 13

27 Sep

Day 13’s challenge was to scrap a ritual.  Every time the hubby sees one of these monsters, we HAVE to stop and take a picture, so this is what I scrapped!

When Monsters Attack

Supplies: Paper and stickers: Sassafras

LOAD Day 12

26 Sep

The challenge for day 12 was to use a bad photo.

I chose a photo where my mother’s head was cut off, and when it was developed, had an orange tint to it.  I do love the photo though, so I scrapped it!  🙂

Kid’s Craft Week #24-Ring Toss

23 Sep

This week’s craft was another Pinterest find.

For whatever reason, I didn’t take pictures of us making this one, so here is the original picture off of Pinterest:

You can find it here: http://pinterest.com/pin/11067792/

I made some modifications from the original design, so here are my notes if you are so inclined to do this project:

modifications: added 3 paper plates together for stability on the rings, added another paper plate with hole cut in it on top of the adhered paper towel roll to help it stay together better. My kiddo painted all the plates, the paper towel roll, and the base. Great craft to do together (especially if they like to paint!)

Have fun!  🙂
