Card Monday

19 Aug

Here is another card from Summer Camp.  For this one, I was doing a color challenge.  And, since today is the first day of first grade for The Girlio (which I can hardly BELIEVE!) I thought this was an appropriate sentiment in a card just for her.  🙂

Supplies: Cardstock: PaperTrey Ink; Patterned Paper: Echo Park; Letters: My Little Shoebox; Chipboard Star: Cosmo Cricket; Pen: Signo

Card Monday

12 Aug

Here is another card from OCC Summer Camp.  This one was for a color challenge, as well as a challenge to complete the card in under 10 minutes.  I have never even come close to finishing a card that fast, so I knew this was going to be a challenge!  Fortunately, I hit on something quick and easy right away, and sure enough-finished in the time allotted!  Pretty amazing, indeed.

Supplies: Wood Veneer: Studio Calico; Journaling Cards (stripes, and black): Simple Stories

The Summer Bucket List Challenge

11 Aug

Also on our bucket list was a trip up into the mountains to one of our favorites-The Donut Mill.  The donuts and pastries are HUGE, and quite delicious (Hubby really likes the biscuits and gravy too!)

And, just to show you how big these pastries really are, the picture below is a cinnamon roll we brought home-sitting on one of my DINNER plates!

Mmmmm……I think I am starting to drool…….probably it is a good thing we only go up there 2-3 times a year.  🙂

The Summer Bucket List Challenge

More from the Bucket List!  🙂

We saw a movie-The Smurfs at one of our theater’s $1 days (terrible picture, I know-just couldn’t get them to sit still!):

We made bird feeders (which I shared in yesterday’s post)
And we have done TONS of crafts (which I have been posting about as well)

Kid’s Craft #90-More From Camp Scrap

9 Aug

Another Camp Scrap challenge The Girlio completed-use three different materials on your project.

She used: mists and inks for her background (from the backgrounds we did a few weeks ago), felt die cut flowers that she layered, and stamps.

Isn’t it pretty?  She did a great job!!

Pinterest Thursday, Summer Bucket List, and Kid’s Craft #89!

Another thing on our Summer Bucket List was to make these bird feeders I found on Pinterest:

The Girlio was having so much fun, she actually made THREE sets!  This was a super easy craft, and since it was just pipe cleaners and Cheerios, she could do most of it herself.  She loved it-definitely a winner!  Now, where to hang them so that our pesky squirrels don’t get them before the birds!  🙂
