The Paper Variety Ornament Challenge!

30 Nov

This week’s challenge is:

Here is my project:

Ornament Card

Supplies: Paper: Echo Park Season’s Greetings; Stamps: Ali Edwards (ornaments), Hero Arts (Merry Christmas background); Twine: Hero Arts; Inks: Tim Holtz Winter Distress Inks; Pen: Signo

This was a fun card to make!  I got the idea for the background from Kristina Werner.  I used white cardstock, stamped the sentiment, and brushed on additional ink for dimension.  For the ornaments, I embossed with white embossing powder, and then swiped ink over the top to get the red.  It was really fun to use mainly ink and stamps on this card, and I will DEFINITELY be trying this again-LOVE that background stamp!  And, can I just say, festive berries (the red ink) is BY FAR my favorite ink.  I love the beautiful red color!!!

So, now it’s time for YOU to play along!  This week’s prize comes from:

Make sure you check out the blog for more details on the prize, and to check out all of the other design team members’ projects!

Then, create a project for your chance to be featured on the blog and win the prize!

Have fun, and I can’t wait to see what you create!  🙂

Card Monday

28 Nov

Here is a quick card:

Supplies: Paper: Echo Park Season’s Greetings; Stickers: SRM; Gems: My Mind’s Eye; White Pen: Signo; Silhouette

Heart Cards

26 Nov

I made these cards for my parents for Christmas.  They have a ministry to churches called Servant’s Heart Ministries, so they can use these cards to send out to pastors, or for whatever they want.  As we are celebrating our Christmas today, I am finally safe to share them.  🙂

I just used my Silhouette and some cardstock to make these.  Love how they turned out-especially with the textured white cardstock from Bazzill-really looks classy!  🙂
