Kid’s Craft #83-Hugs

31 May

I love this idea-a perfect way to send a hug to someone that lives far away!

We made a BUNCH of these, and they have already started going out the door to The Girlio’s friends!  I did change some things up a bit-we didn’t use paint-she just traced her hands on colored cardstock instead.  I punched holes at the bottom of each hand, and then strung the ribbon through.  She then wrote: “A hug from me to you.”  Cute huh?  🙂

Pinterest Thursday

So, I found this idea on Pinterest:

oh

“Following my high school graduation ceremony my dad handed me a bag with a copy of Oh the Places You’ll Go, by Doctor Seuss inside. I open it up and on the first page I see a short paragraph written by none other than my kindergarten teacher. My dad tells me “Every year, for the past 13 years, since the day you started kindergarten I’ve gotten every teacher, coach, and principal to write a little something about you inside this book.”

I had actually forgotten I wanted to do this, and one of the moms at Girl Scouts was talking about it the week before school got out and reminded me.  I was SO glad she did because I absolutely LOVED the notes The Girlio’s teachers wrote in the book.  What a keepsake!  And, to have started it with kindergarten is even better.  So sweet.  Love it.

The Summer Bucket List Challenge #3

28 May

sbl

The third challenge for The Summer Bucket List was to create and display our bucket list.

I posted a copy Sunday of the printable we filled out, but we needed to display our list too.  I wanted it to be in an easily accessible place, so I clipped it to a clipboard, and hung it on a nail in our little craft area.  That way, it is still easy for The Girlio to get to, and she can highlight things as we do them.

You can probably see there are some items highlighted already (yay!) and I will post about those on Saturday.  Have a great day!

Card Monday

27 May

For this week’s card, I made four identical anniversary cards.  Nice to have a stash built up.  🙂

I used my Silhouette to cut the heart design and card base, and a heart punch on the inside.
