For today’s card, I decided to work through more of my Christmas chipboard stash!
Supplies: Dies: Lawn Fawn (border), We R Memory Keepers (circle); Chipboard: Cosmo Cricket; Letter Stickers: Making Memories; Other: Card Stock, Foam Tape
It wasn’t hard to put together, and I like the end result!
Stay tuned for a special Christmas project on Thursday!
Today I have another set of glittery cards for you!
I took this year’s Online Card Classes Holiday Card Workshop by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire, and I am SO glad I did!
I have been crafting for a long time, but I really learned a lot of new things and had fun with the challenges (which I am still working on!)
I made a set of two of this one:
Supplies: Laser Die-Cut Paper: ki memories; Sentiment Die: Hello Bluebird; Misc.: Glitter Paper, Card Stock
I really like how these turned out-and I like that I used up some really old paper too!
Well, that’s it for today.
Stay tuned for another Christmas card tomorrow!
Sadie on the Rocks is a contemporary Christian novel written by Joanne Bischof. It is book one in the Suddenly Sadie Adventure series.
Summary: Sadie is single. For years, she has been waiting for Mr. Right to come along. But she doesn’t want to wait anymore and let life pass her by.
So, with a new determination, she decides to move on with her life and stop living in limbo. She is determined to discover new things, and not let her fears get in her way.
Can Sadie learn to find contentment in life and follow her passion-even if it means not having a guy in her life?
My Thoughts: This book is so beautifully written. The author does such a wonderful job of sharing the feelings and struggles when things in life don’t go a person’s way.
I loved how Sadie worked through her feelings and struggles and kept moving bravely forward. There is a great lesson in this book to not stay stuck, but to enjoy life-wherever God may lead.
I really loved this book. Sadie is a fantastic character, and I was cheering her on the entire way.
This is definitely a book I would re-read, and as I don’t say that very often at all, that is the highest praise I can give.
I can’t wait to read the next one!
I want to thank Mason Jar Books for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!
The Wonder of Creation is a children’s devotional written by Louie Giglio. It is the third in a series of devotionals designed to teach children more about God, and more about His amazing creations.
There are 100 devotions covering animals, space, the earth, and more with a strong focus on developing a deeper relationship with God and with others.
Each day there is a two-page spread that includes a scripture verse, a section covering a scientific fact that is then tied into a lesson about God, an “Explore the Wonder” section with another interesting scientific fact, as well as a prayer.
My Thoughts: Our family owns all three of these devotionals, and they are all very good.
We use them as our family devotional during homeschool, and we love the beautiful color photos, the interesting facts, and I especially like how everything ties back to God.
While the first book in the series is still our favorite (we’ve read it twice), this book is a close second.
I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole-they are great devotionals, and I am so glad we now have another to add to our collection!
I would like to thank Thomas Nelson for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!
