Card Monday-Sending You Monster Hugs

SO, I had been seeing all these cute cards being made with the Lawn Fawn monsters set, and I actually went right out and bought it.  I don’t usually do that, but it was too cute to resist.  🙂

I started with a Project Life card as my base (love the texture that adds), and covered it with Distress Inks (Worn Lipstick and Peacock Feathers.)  I stamped and painting the monsters using the same colors of inks, added Wink of Stella, and adhered them with some foam adhesive.  I also stamped some cute little hearts and the greeting.  Then, I colored in the tooth, horns, and mouth with my Signo white gel pen (saw that trick in someone’s video-can’t remember who.)  LOVE the results-very cute!!!  🙂

And finally, I wanted to share a few of The Boy’s projects:
First up-he made this little manger with baby Jesus at church.  He is SO proud of it!  🙂

And second, he made this Christmas paper countdown chain at Preschool:

The reason I wanted to share this one is really because of the story behind it.  It is a countdown chain, and you are supposed to cut a chain off each day until Christmas.  When I told The Boy we were going to cut it, he said, “NO, it’s so pretty!” So, I hung it up so he could look at it.  Of course, the baby gets a hold of it and tears it up.  So, here I am, restapling a chain that you are supposed to be cutting apart.  After that, we put it up high with The Girlio’s snowman, and it is still there right now because The Boy likes it so much.  Funny.  🙂

Kid Craft #119-Christmas Cards and Perler Trees

I found out a little too late that she had made cards and bookmarks for all of the family (grandparents, aunt, uncle, etc.) so I didn’t get pictures of all of them, but isn’t that sweet that she decided to do all that on her own?  🙂
