Card Monday

31 Aug

It’s been a while since I posted a card, but I finally have one to share!

Here is the birthday card I made for my niece:
I watercolored the bird and turtle with Distress Ink, and mounted the bird and turtle shell on foam tape for some dimension.

Turtles are my favorite animal, so I love the chance to use this set!  🙂

Pinterest Thursday-Starting Off The School Year

27 Aug

Well, we are back to school here, and I thought I would share a few things we are using from Pinterest to start off the year:

All About Me Math Worksheet-The Girlio really enjoyed this one-especially when she could write one girl and no boys for students in her class!  🙂

Multiplication Bingo-this has been a really fun way to practice multiplication skills!  I just laminated it, and we have played it several times already.

A Summer word search:

And, a grammar game:

So far, we have cups for verbs, nouns, and pronouns.  I will be adding adjectives next!  This game has been a surprising hit-not just with The Girlio for English, but The Boy enjoys counting the sticks and sorting them as well.  I will have to keep this in mind for creating other games in the future!
Next week, I will share some worksheets we used for a review of pronouns!

Needing to be reminded-it’s OK to take some time to review and take things slow in school-no need to cram everything in at once-we’ll get there!  🙂
