Two things prevent us from happiness; living in the past and observing others.:

Crafty Stash Series 1 Part 2

27 Jun

Yesterday, I started a new series using up products from my stash-some Studio Calico tags, as well as some SRM stickers.  Here are two more cards I made using those products:

Card #4:

I especially like how the washer tag looks on card #4-glad I decided to leave it all together-it looks pretty cool that way.
So, that was the end of the Studio Calico tags, but I decided I wanted to use the packaging as well-love the grid printed on it (I am hoarding the patterned paper version of it!)  Next week, I will share cards I made using the packaging, more SRM stickers, and some Basic Grey stickers I added into the mix.  Have a great day!

Card Monday-Crafty Stash Series 1 Part 1

26 Jun

A few weeks ago I posted a series using minimal supplies from the Doodlebug Fairy Tale line.  I enjoyed doing that SO much, that I decided to do it again-this time pulling stuff out that has long sat in my crafty stash.  I ended up making nine cards and one tag in a single day!
Anyway, I will be sharing these projects with you over the next few weeks, and I hope you enjoy.
I started out with some tags from Studio Calico, and also some old SRM stickers I received in a design team package many moons ago.
Card #1 (It’s Your Birthday stamp is Lawn Fawn):

Card #2:

I like how the “all about You!” sticker lined up so perfectly on the pink tag.
Both cards turned out very neutral and are great to have in my stash any time I need a birthday card.
That’s it for today, but I will be sharing two more tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Kid Crafts Friday-Biggie Beads

23 Jun

So, I have been sharing all of these posts about the big kids and their perler creations, and sure enough, The Little Guy was feeling left out.
So, I picked up some Biggie Beads and a tray with lots of patterns included.  The beads are sized bigger for little fingers, and now he can feel involved too!
Of course, this means all I seem to do these days is iron creations!  🙂
Anyway, he is loving it of course, and I thought I would share his first two creations today:

Aren’t they fun?  The only thing to note is that I definitely had to go up one more heat setting, and they do take longer to iron, but I love that he can be involved and make his own creations too!
