Card Monday-Christmas Card 20

27 Nov

For today’s card, I used a cut apart sheet, as well as a 6×6 pad from Echo Park.  I cut out the mint panel, mounted it onto red paper, and then onto the plaid paper.  I added some sequins to each corner, and that was it!

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Echo Park; Sequins: Lawn Fawn
This cut apart sheet is really pretty, and I especially like the gold foiling on several of the pieces.  You will definitely see more of them appearing in this card series!
Until next time!  🙂

Christmas Cards 18-19

21 Nov

As promised, today I am sharing the two other versions I made of yesterday’s card.
Supplies: Patterned Paper: Echo Park; Stamps: Mama Elephant (snowmen), My Favorite Things (Merry Christmas); Heart and Celebrate Dies, Stencil: My Favorite Things; Stitched Rectangle Die: Lawn Fawn; Markers: Spectrum Noir, Sharpie, Copic; Embossing Paste: Wendy Vecchi; Distress Inks: Tim Holtz; Other: Signo White Gel Pen, Wink of Stella, Red Card Stock
Card #18:

This card is almost exactly the same as yesterday’s, but you can see a bit of a different section of the stamp, and I didn’t add pink cheeks to the snowmen.
Card #19:

For this one, I used a Merry Christmas sentiment from My Favorite Things, and a heart die cut from the My Favorite Things yeti die set.  I also matted the panel on two different patterned papers from Echo Park.
I really like this snowmen stamp, so it might end up on a few more cards before I am finished-we will see.
Stay tuned-I will be back on Saturday with another card!

Card Monday-Christmas Card 17

20 Nov

Today’s card features the new snowmen stamp from Mama Elephant, and it has to be one of my favorites.
IMG_4426.JPG
Supplies: Stamp: Mama Elephant; Celebrate Die, Stencil: My Favorite Things; Stitched Rectangle Die: Lawn Fawn; Markers: Spectrum Noir, Sharpie, Copic; Embossing Paste: Wendy Vecchi; Distress Inks: Tim Holtz; Other: Signo White Gel Pen, Wink of Stella, Red Card Stock
I tried some new things on this card that I had never done before, and I LOVE the results!  I did some ink blending with my Distress Inks, and was pleasantly surprised to see just how easy it was!
I also stenciled on some white embossing paste using a snow stencil, and I die cut my sentiment four times with white, and once with red, and glued them all together for some dimension on my sentiment.
I colored my snowmen, and die cut them with the same rectangle die as my background so that they fit neatly together, and then I just trimmed around the top of my snowmen using scissors.
For final touches, I added white gel pen, and lots of Wink of Stella-to the snowmen, as well as the sentiment.
I LOVE how this turned out SO much!!
And, I am pretty please that I was able to try some new techniques and have them turn out so well.  Must be all the crafty YouTube videos I watch.  🙂
Stayed tuned tomorrow as I made two more versions of this card that I will be sharing.
Until then, have a great day!
