Pinterest Thursday-Math Games

15 May

Here are a few more printables from Pinterest we have been playing around with lately-these are all math related:

I really liked that the gal that made the crosses one included addition, subtraction, and even multiplication for the problems.  I printed out subtraction this time around, but when we get a little further along in math skills, we will probably go back for the multiplication one-very cool.  She has different pictures too, so I am sure we will be doing more in the future-I really like stuff like this because it combines math with art, and any time you combine two subjects together, it reinforces the subject even better!
And finally, this one:

The Girlio loved every one of these, so I will be on the lookout for more-for sure!  🙂

Pinterest Thursday-Frozen and Angry Birds

8 May

In April we jumped on the Frozen and Rainbow Loom bandwagons (I know, we’re a little behind.)

Here are a few Frozen coloring/activity sheets we’ve done:

this maze was a little tricky, so I was glad to see The Girlio stick with it until she figured it out!

And, The Girlio has already made 20-30 bracelets and rings in the short time since we got the Rainbow Loom  (definitely a fun toy for her!) so when I saw this tutorial for an Angry Bird charm (the kids really like Angry Birds) made with loom bands, I thought I would give it a try.  I am usually pretty bad at stuff like this (I need more patience!) but I am proud to say I stuck with it, and although it doesn’t look nearly as nice as hers, it was still a passable attempt (the picture below is hers, not mine!)  This gal has some real creativity-she comes up with some pretty amazing things made out of bands!

NSD Pages Again!

6 May

Here are pages five and six from Saturday:
PG5

PG6

Some fun memories on these pages-I really enjoyed making them, and they sure came together easily with the printables too.  I am thinking I am going to love this summer collection (that the printables came from) when it comes out!

More NSD Pages!

5 May

I ended up making another three pages yesterday, with a start of a fourth, so I made a total of 9 1/2 pages and five cards this past weekend-that makes me SO happy!  🙂

Here are another two from Saturday:
PG3
PG4
I used mostly the Simple Stories printables again, with Studio Calico wood veneer, and a couple of Simple Stories cards from last year’s summer collection as well.
