Card Monday
21 JulThe Girlio and I have been watching lots of Kristina Werner card videos lately (if you haven’t ever checked her out, she is AMAZING!) Anyway, Kristina used a technique where she took Distress markers, scribbled them on an acrylic block, used a brush and some water, and colored in her stamped images. I have tons of Distress ink pads, so we put them all out on the kitchen table, grabbed some cute Penny Black stamps, and got to work trying this technique!
Here is one of the cards I made:
I LOVE how this turned out! I just added layers of color with more and more water to create a faded look into the background, and then kept painting out the color to the edge of the card-the stamped portion is just the black part. I also added Wink of Stella to the fish, the hedgehog cheeks, and the water puddles. I have always loved my Penny Black stamps, but didn’t have a great way to color them in-until now! I think I will be digging out a lot of stamps to play with! 🙂
