The Paper Variety Fan Folds

28 Jan

SO, I know this challenge just ended yesterday, but between construction in our basement bathroom, sick family members, and moving my craft room downstairs, well, I am a little behind.  🙂

The challenge was:

You can see the original link for the challenge here.

Here is my project:

I fanfolded my background paper for the challenge part.  I used the new Dear Lizzy line for this card, Divine Twine, and my glitter pen.  Turned out cute!  🙂

This week’s craft idea comes from Teach Preschool.  You can check out the link here.

Basically, we made a lion using paper, paint, a marker, and cotton balls.  Super quick and fun!

So cute-love it!   🙂

Pinterest Thursday

Found this on Pinterest and made it several weeks ago-just never posted it to the blog.  It’s a good one, so I thought it was worth a post!

Milk Jug Game

We made a few changes.  First, we used orange juice containers (we made four), duct tape, and used some balls we already had.

The kids have so much fun playing with this game-so glad we made it!  Thank you Pinterest!  🙂

Kid’s Craft Week #36-Painting

20 Jan

Kid’s Craft Week is back from the holiday break-yay!  For those of you not familiar with my Kid’s Craft posts, I really do them to keep myself accountable and make sure that my daughter gets the chance to do crafts on a weekly basis.  If I know I am going to post about it, it reminds me to dig out those art supplies and let her play!  🙂

To set the background, The Girlio has lots of little punched paper pieces that she has colored or painted, and was looking for something she could put them in.  I had a bunch of coffee containers I had saved, so I gave them to her to store all the pieces.  She decided to sort all her pieces by color into the different tins.  As a way of labeling which container was which, she painted a bunch of labels in coordinating colors, and plastered them on the outside of the containers.

She also painted several trees, I showed her how to use a stencil, and she did some water color as well (not pictured)!

She took one of the blue trees, added some buttons and wood veneer shapes from my stash, and presented it to our landlord-she loved giving it to him, and he enjoyed getting it too!
