Pinterest Thursday-Brown Bear, Brown Bear

28 Sep

Technically, The Little Guy is old enough for Preschool this year.  I am not really pushing school yet, but I know that he wants to feel included-since that is what the older kids are doing.
So, for his first week of school, I found a craft on Pinterest relating to his favorite book-Brown Bear, Brown Bear.  He LOVED it!

Sorry for the blurry picture.  He was just so excited, he couldn’t keep still!  🙂
Here is a picture of what the project actually looks like (not my picture-it is part of the pin):

He has already asked if we can do this again, so we probably will.
I am hoping to find more things like this that he can do since he is really enjoying being old enough for “school.”  🙂

Bat Birthday Decorations

26 Sep

The Little Guy had a Batman birthday this year, and I decided to make some bats with my Silhouette for decorations.
I might have gotten carried away as I made eighty.  Yup, I said eighty.  🙂
The walls, front door, and the light fixture had bats all over them, and all his presents were wrapped in brown paper and covered with bats.
I let the kids hang bats wherever they wanted, and they even hung some upside down under windows and ledges, which I thought was a nice touch.

It was a lot of work, but they sure looked cool, and fortunately, I had some very helpful kids too!  🙂

Card Monday

25 Sep

A card two weeks in a row-say what??  🙂
Here is the card I made for my parents’ anniversary:

Supplies: Patterned Paper, Stamps, Dies: Lawn Fawn; Markers: Copics, Spectrum Noir, Sharpie; Other: Misc. Cardstock
This card was a lot of work, but it was worth it.  So fun to break out a bunch of stuff to make a very special card.  🙂
