Not A Christmas Card!

24 Oct

How about this?  Here’s a non-Christmas card for your viewing pleasure!

I guess I have to ‘fess up that I did USE Christmas paper, but it is definitely not a Christmas card.  🙂

Supplies: Journaling Card: Pink Paislee; Butterflies: Studio Calico; Gems: Glitz; Stamps: Technique Tuesday (Ali Edwards)

I love how well the sentiment stamp fit on the pink line-worked out pretty good!

There you have it-have a great day!

Snowflake Christmas Cards

23 Oct

Here’s a set of five cards I made with the leftover woodgrain paper from the one layer cards, and some Girls’ Paperie paper and embellishments.  The stamp is Technique Tuesday (Ali Edwards.)

Here’s what one looks like:

Here’s all of them together:

I almost wish I had more of those snowflake embellishments.  On the other hand, it DOES feel good to use up some of my old Christmas stash.  🙂  I did end up making another one of these with a stamped tree instead of a snowflake (which I have already posted here.)  I don’t have any more big pieces of the snowflake paper, or I might consider making some more versions.  Oh well.  It isn’t like I am running out of paper or anything!  🙂

Card Monday

22 Oct

Supplies: Paper: Echo Park; Tissue Tape, Ink: Tim Holtz; Butterflies: Studio Calico; Stamp: Technique Tuesday (Ali Edwards); Paint: Jenni Bowlin

I really like using Studio Calico butterflies for a Christmas wreath-kind of unexpected, but cool.

Have a great day!  🙂

Whew!

21 Oct

So, I had lots of projects to post last week, but the week got a LITTLE crazy.  My dad ended up in the hospital (he is recovering very well), my brother and SIL came to town, The Girlio turned six (WOW), there was a Fall Festival at the school, a big birthday party, and did I mention it was a UTA (military duty) weekend for hubby?  Needless to say, only the pre-planned post I had scheduled for Wednesday posted last week!

Anyway, I am back on track for this week with lots to share!

Today I wanted to share some really cool online things that have happened recently:

1.  I won some of this great Jenni Bowlin chipboard:

2.  I won a Christmas paper pack from Lawn Fawn:

3.  I was featured on Moxie Fab World here.
4. I won a year subscription of paper doll outfits from Lily and Thistle (this is a great gift for a little girl if you are interested-I love her stuff!)
5. I won this totally amazing and huge Crate Paper prize pack from Moxie Fab World (that just arrived and I am DROOLING over the possibilities):

How is that for some really amazing winnings lately?  Especially that last one!  So, I definitely have some fun goodies to play with!!!!  I also purchased SNAP from Simple Stories in the past week, and I love, love, LOVE this line!  I have already used a ton of it, and will be sharing in the next couple of weeks!  Oh-and I forgot to mention-hubby also won a $25 commissary gift card.  We are on a roll!  Is this where I should be going to get a lottery ticket?  🙂

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good start to their week, and I will start sharing some new projects tomorrow!

Even More One Layer Christmas Cards

17 Oct

Here are the last two in the series of one layer Christmas cards I have been posting:

The supplies remain pretty much the same for these, except I added some foam adhesive underneath the mittens and some MME twine.

So there you have it!  Quite a few cards, and with minimal supplies, they came together very quickly!  In fact, I enjoyed making these so much, I even contemplated buying more stickers and paper and making more.  Then, I decided I had enough other Christmas supplies-I should probably work on using up some of that stuff.  Although I did buy more of the Amy Tangerine paper.  What?  It was so pretty!  🙂
