Today we have a new challenge up on the Mix It Up Challenge Blog!
Our theme this month is: Anything Goes + optional Smooshing
Smooshing. That’s something I had only tried a couple of times, so I decided to take on the challenge!
Supplies: Stamp: MFT; Die: Hero Arts; Ink and Watercolor Card Stock: Tim Holtz; Other: Brown Card Stock
To create this card, I smooshed ink on to my glass craft mat. I picked up each color with a piece of plastic packaging and pressed them down on to watercolor card stock.
I dried the colors with my heat gun, then die cut my pineapple from the panel, stamped my sentiment, and splattered some additional ink over the top.
After everything was dry, I mounted my panel on foam tape, and attached it to my card stock and card base.
It was a pretty easy card to make, and I really like how it turned out! A nice, summery birthday card.
That’s it for now, but I hope you find time to do something fun today, and feel free to join us for this month’s challenge!
Have a great day!
Love it! Smooshing is a fun technique and so easy!
This is so cool! Great idea to die cut after your ink smooshing!
thanks!
