It’s time for a new Mix It Up Blog challenge!
Our challenge for January/February is: Anything Goes + Use Ribbon.
One of the reasons I really love the Mix It Up Blog challenges is….they challenge me! 🙂
I can’t remember the last time I used ribbon on a card, but I was determined to make it work!
I found a really gorgeous navy velvet ribbon with a silver glitter plaid design in my Christmas stash and decided to use it for the sky on a scene card.
I adhered the ribbon to card stock using double-sided tape.
Then, I added die cut hills with lots of extra card stock stacked underneath to match the thickness of the ribbon.
Finally, I added a stamped sentiment, a glitter tree, and a glitter mat to match the glitter in the ribbon.
Here is my card:
Supplies: Stamp: MFT; Dies: Lawn Fawn; Double-Sided Tape: Elizabeth Craft Designs; Other: Tree Die, Ribbon
I used the following card stock color from CutCardStock.com: Basis Blue, DCS Silver Glitter, Cougar White 100 lb., and Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.
I am happy with how this card turned out, and I hope it inspires you to join us for the new challenge at the Mix It Up Challenge Blog. I can’t wait to see what you create!
