Kid Craft Friday-Star Cat

30 Jan

For today’s project, I am sharing another of my youngest kiddo’s drawings from a free online art class he took a few weeks ago.

The whole week was cat-themed, which was right up his alley!

This day’s project was to create a cat in space.

This project wasn’t his favorite, but it was still fun for him to do something different.

That’s it for today.

Have a great one!

Pinterest Thursday-Sweet Corn Bread

29 Jan

My youngest has been making more new recipes than I have lately. 🙂

Here’s another he recently made:

This tasted pretty good.

I am personally more of a fan of corn bread that isn’t so sweet, but everyone else really enjoyed it.

That’s it for today.

Have a great one!

Crafty Haul-Mystery Bundles

27 Jan

A Cherry on Top had a sale going on during December, and they had a few different mystery bundles that looked interesting. I had rewards points, so I picked them up just for fun. I spent $3.03 on this order, so why not? 🙂

Yarn Mystery Bundle priced $11.99-I mainly got this for my son. He loves crafting, and has pretty much depleted our stash, and yarn has gotten expensive!

I was actually pretty impressed with the selection. There were four nice large neutrals, and two smaller specialty yarns-it’s going to be perfect for him.

Uncoordinated Die Bundle priced $9.99-I took a chance on this one. Mainly, I could see from the picture that I had the chance of getting some Lawn Fawn which I knew I would use and figured there would probably be some other dies where I might want to buy the stamps, or I could just find a creative use for.

There were TWENTY-TWO die sets in my bundle. Unfortunately, no Lawn Fawn. Almost half were outlines of words. And most of the stamp sets that coordinated were discontinued everywhere (at least the ones I was interested in), SO I am going to just see if I can’t be creative with some of the shape dies. I have a couple of ideas, so we will see. I figure if I even use one die set, it was worth it as die sets are expensive.

I also picked up my first Lawn Fawn coloring stencil (priced $5.00.) I am excited to try it out as I don’t really enjoy coloring images, and this will probably be pretty helpful!

Finally, I picked up two packs of these puffy stickers ($2.00 each.) I was surprised to find there was two sheets in each pack. These will keep me for a while and are pretty cute!

Well, that’s it for this haul. I am definitely happy with all the yarn and embellishments. A little disappointed about the dies, but who knows-maybe I will come up with some fun and creative cards using them!

Have a great one!
