It’s time for a new Mix It Up Blog challenge!
Our challenge for May/June is: Anything Goes, with the optional challenge of paper piecing.
For my project, I grabbed some gelli-printed painted papers from my stash, die cut some images from Waffle Flower, and pieced together a little scene.
I used Staz-On black ink for the stamping as it did take a few tries in my MISTI to get a clear impression when stamping on the paint.
I did not have the lily pads from Waffle Flower (on my wishlist!) but found some dies in my stash that coordinated with a cute frog set from Heffy Doodle.
Using just the dies, I cut the lily pads from painted paper and black and layered them to create a drop shadow.
I also cut some cattails from black which I layered behind the lily pads.
Use what you have, right? 🙂
Here is my card:
Supplies: Stamps: Waffle Flower; Dies: Waffle Flower (frog, dragonflies), Heffy Doodle (lily pads, plants); Other: Gelli Plate
I used the following card stock color from CutCardStock.com: Pop Tone Black Licorice.
I absolutely love how this turned out-it’s really giving me Eric Carle-type vibes!
I hope this card inspires you to join us for the new challenge at the Mix It Up Challenge Blog. I can’t wait to see what you create!
