February Books

2 Mar

Another month is gone, and today I am sharing the books I read in February.

As a reminder, here are my reading goals for 2021:
1. Read 221 books. This includes the books I read to the kids, audiobooks, and anything I read for myself.
2. Read at least one (new to me) classic.
3. Read at least four self-help/education books.

So here is what I read in February:
1. Hours to Kill by Susan Sleeman-pretty good
2. Rusty Rivets The Great Monkey Show! by Delphine Finnegan-cute
3. I AM CAPTAIN SNOWBALL! by Dennis R. Shealy-just OK
4. The Crown of Rosemund by Michele Ashman Bell-excellent
5. Riley Mack and the Other Known Troublemakers by Chris Grabenstein (audio book)-really good!
6. Duck, Duck, Dinosaur and the Noise at Night by Kallie George-cute (I like this series a lot)
7. Pete the Cat Secret Agent by Kimberly and James Dean-fun
8. Arlo Finch in the Valley of Fire by John August (audio book)-very good
9. Arlo Finch in the Lake of the Moon by John August (audio book)-very good
10. Unknown Threat by Lynn H. Blackburn-excellent
11. Top Wing You Can Do It! by Elle Stephens-OK
12. Rusty Rivets Far-Out Friends by Delphine Finnegan-pretty fun
13. Star Wars The Adventures of BB-8 by David Fentiman-OK
14. Blaze and the Monster Machines Robot Power! by Celeste Sisler-OK
15. Duck, Duck, Dinosaur Snowy Surprise by Kallie George-cute
16. Doozers Make a Rainbow by Natalie Shaw-OK
17. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows Mean Team by Geof Smith-OK
18. There Are Lions in This Book! by Dandi Daley Mackall-not my favorite
19. Little Scoot by Rebecca Kai Dotlich-good
20. So You Want To Build a Library by Lindsay Leslie-wonderful!!!

I read eleven books to the kids, and I read (or listened to) six novels just for me. I also read three kid books to myself for review.

For the year, I have now read twenty-one books to the kids and thirteen novels just for me. I also read five kid books to myself for review. That’s 39 books, so not too bad for two months.

For a favorite this month……

This book was action-packed, had a good mystery, and a nice love story.

It was super hard to choose because I also really enjoyed The Crown of Rosemund. Both are really great books.

Well, that’s it for this month. I will have another book post the first Tuesday in April.
