August Books

3 Sep

This year, I am on a mission to read more books!
My goal is 150, and I am right on target so far.
Here are the books I read in August:
1. Rescue Me by Susan May Warren-this was book two in the series. I think the love stories in this series are pretty lame, but I do like the rescue action in each of these books, so that kept me reading.
2. Becoming Us by Robin Jones Gunn-this was a fantastic book one, and I am looking forward to the next one.
3. The World According to Mister Rogers by Fred Rogers-so much good advice in this book. Mr. Rogers really had some great things to say about how to treat people!
4. Vow of Justice by Lynette Eason-this was the last book in the series. I liked all the action and adventure, but it was still hard to keep track of all of the characters (which has been my problem with the whole series.)
5. Fire Storm by Nancy Mehl-interesting read with a twist ending, but a one-time read
6. A Matter of Trust by Susan May Warren-book #3 in this series
7. A Perfect Silhouette by Judith McCoy Miller-very good book!
8. Introverted Mom by Jamie C. Martin-interesting, and did a good job describing what introverted means, but I don’t think it completed its goal in saying being introverted was a good thing. More like accepting it, and educating others on how to put up with introverted people.
9. Finding Lady Everly by Joanna Davidson Politano-very interesting plot, and lots of twists and turns-I liked it.
10. Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren-book #4 in this series, and definitely my favorite.
11. The Express Bride by Kimberley Woodhouse-liked learning more about the Pony Express, and it was well-written.
12. Storm Front by Susan May Warren-book #5 in the series
That’s all the books for this month, and now I have read 103 books for the year so far-yay!
Stay tuned for a new book post in October!
