A Single Paper Challenge Pt. 4

18 Jun

Today I am sharing part four of my single paper challenge-trying to see how many projects I can make with a single sheet of paper.
For this challenge, I am using this piece of paper from the Paige Evans Horizon collection:

As I mentioned yesterday, I was able to use up most of the sheet-with only a few scraps left, so I decided to add this Page Evans Horizon paper to the mix:

Today, I have a layout to share using both of these papers:

Supplies: Patterned Paper: Paige Evans; Thickers: American Crafts; Letter Stickers: October Afternoon; Other: Pink Tissue Paper (packaging from a My Favorite Things order)
For this layout, I used one strip from my original paper, as well as pieces from both sides of the second paper.
I cut out some diamond shapes and popped them up for added interest.
Next week, I will share some cards I made with some of my leftover scraps!

Card Monday-A Single Paper Challenge Pt. 3

Today I am sharing part three of my single paper challenge-trying to see how many projects I can make with a single sheet of paper.
For this challenge, I am using this piece of paper from the Paige Evans Horizon collection:

Here are two more of the cards I made:

Supplies: Glitter Paper: American Crafts; Stamps: Hero Arts, My Favorite Things; Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh
The first card I used for my mom’s Mother’s Day card, and the second will go into my stash.
I actually might make more of these two cards. I really like how they turned out, and they would be great to have in my stash.
I might or might not have bought more of this paper when it went on sale again at Jo-Anns the other day. 🙂
Now, at this point, I only had a few little scraps left of this piece of paper, so I decided to add a second paper to the mix to help use up my sheet completely.

This page is also from the Paige Evans Horizon collection, and starting tomorrow, you will see me use both of these papers in my projects, and I will continue making things until I use up both papers!
Stay tuned!

Kids’ Craft Friday

We have really been slowing down on the perler projects the last few months, but here some of the latest:

As I mentioned last week, we have been slowly switching over to more of a gluten-free, dairy-free menu, and I spent an afternoon perusing the GFDF section at Barnes and Noble. I found a few to try, picked them up at the library to peruse in further detail, and then I bought a few. Here is one I ended up buying:

I decided to start by making a few of Silvana’s gluten-free flour mixes.
I spent a bunch of time trying to figure out where to buy the ingredients (it took three stores to find everything) and I started with this one-which can be found in her books, but also at the pin listed below.

I also made a few batches of her Bread and Pizza mix, and the Pretzel and Bagel mix as well.
It was definitely like a treasure hunt to find everything in stores, and cost a pretty penny in start-up costs, but she has so many recipes I think our family will enjoy, so I thought it was worth a try.
Over the next several weeks, I will be sharing some of the recipes I try, so stay tuned!

A Single Paper Challenge Pt. 2

11 Jun

Hello!
As I mentioned yesterday, I am challenging myself to make a bunch of projects with a single sheet of paper.
For this challenge, I am using this piece of paper from the Paige Evans Horizon collection:

Here is the layout I made:

For this page, I had made the center piece with the photo last year, and it has been sitting on my desk every since.
I grabbed that, along with some other little things I have been trying to use up on my desk, and create this layout with some strips of the patterned paper.
So, that’s it, but I have plenty more projects I will be sharing next week using this paper, so stay tuned!

So, Jo-Anns has started carrying a lot more designer paper (which I LOVE to see!) They had a big sale, and I brought home a stack-even though that is probably the last thing I need, but 15 cents is super cheap, so there you go.
ANYWAY, I decided to do a little paper challenge, and see what I could make from just a single sheet of paper.
In a way, this was really fun, but also a little overwhelming to think how much I can do with just a single sheet-when I look at just how much paper I already have!
For this challenge though, I started with this gorgeous piece of paper from the Paige Evans Horizon collection:

This week and next, I am going to share the projects I ended up making from this one sheet!
Here are the first two cards:

Supplies: Stamp: Paper Trey Ink; Hearts: Amy Tan; Word Stickers: Pink Fresh; Other: Star Stickers
The first card is going to be a back-to-school card for The Girlio, and the second one I will add to my stash. I really like how the second one turned out-simple, but really nice. It is totally my style.
Well, there you go! Stay tuned, as I have several more projects to share from this one piece of paper. Tomorrow-a layout!
