Crafty Stash 2 Part 7

22 Aug

Today I am sharing two more tags and a card in my crafty stash series using these Studio Calico journaling cards:
These will also be going on The Hubby’s birthday presents (you can see the first three tags I posted yesterday), and just like yesterday’s projects, I used the journaling card and wrote something silly on the back.

Card (this will be going on a bigger present):
Supplies: Patterned Paper, Journaling Cards, Stickers: Studio Calico; Stamps: Lawn Fawn; Sentiment Stickers: Jillibean Soup

For the card, I popped up the Happy Birthday To You squares by adhering strips of leftover card stock together (I am out of foam tape, but this works too!)  The white grid paper I stamped the words on, is actually packaging from the journaling cards.  I used a square punch positioned just right to get the blue and yellow borders with the grid design.  I then adhered the squares on to little bits of leftover patterned paper to make them stand out a bit better.  That’s the way to creatively use something up!

And that, is the last of the projects I will be doing for this crafty stash series using the SC journaling cards.  Believe it or not, I STILL have more cards (about three more packs), but I made a huge dent into them, the matching sticker sheets, and also pretty much used up a 12×12 sheet of Studio Calico paper.  I also managed to use up quite a few of the Jillibean sentiment stickers I had, so I am considering this a win.

Maybe I will try to incorporate more journaling cards into future projects (I will leave them out on my desk for now), but right now I need to move on to something different. I am getting kind of bored with using these, and I have so many new crafty goodies just waiting to be played with!

I am going to try and get in at least one more crafty stash series before November, but we will see how I do with all the homeschooling stuff going on.

In the meantime, I have started working on a few other projects-including my Christmas cards which I will begin sharing November 1st.  🙂
