Weekend Card!

19 Aug

I don’t usually post cards on the weekend, but there are some fun and inspiring challenges going on, and I have lots of new goodies to play with, so I am going to share one card today, and another tomorrow!
For this card, I decided to tackle this week’s Addicted to Stamps and More photo inspiration challenge:

I love the colors in this photo, the ombre look, and the shapes look like leaves to me.
I don’t have a purple marker, so I just used shades of blue and teal to create my ombre look.  I also used a floral image that contained leaves.
Here is my card:
Supplies: Floral Stamp: Simon Says Stamp; Sentiment Stamp: Hero Arts; Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh, Markers: Spectrum Noir
I simply stamped my floral image, colored it with my markers, and cut a portion of it out for the card.  To help everything match, I used my marker to create a matching teal border under the banner and on the card base.  The banner is popped up using several strips of leftover card stock (as I am out of foam tape.)
I don’t think this picture really does the card justice-it is really pretty in person, and I love how it turned out!
In addition to the challenge mentioned above, I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp Add A Sentiment challenge:

The fussy cut stamped and inked image looks striking against the white of the background.
