Christmas Card #40

This was actually my favorite card from this year.  It isn’t that great a picture, but hopefully you get the idea!  I basically took a bunch of scraps from my desk and put them on a card.  🙂  The kraft snowflakes are two scraps stapled together from Maya Road, the glittered chipboard snowflake is from Pink Paislee, and the paper is a punched circle from the Simple Stories DIY Christmas line.  The stamp is Studio Calico, and I thought it fit perfectly on this card!

I still have one more card to make, so I might show that one next week.  For now though, I hope you enjoyed my Christmas cards for 2014!  🙂

For this card, I stamped the Hero Arts tree stamp on white card stock.  I added the Ali Edwards sentiment to the bottom, and then used three different blue Distress inks over the top.  I then added Wink of Stella just to the bottom of the card to create a glittery snow line, and then rounded the bottom corners.  I have been wanting to try adding ink over a stamped image for a while, and I like how it turned out!

For this card, I added LOTS of Diamond Stickles around the edges, to the white part of the card, and to the ornament.  The sentiment is from my favorite Ali Edwards set, and I also added stitching with a black pen around the edges of the card.

I made this one using a Simple Stories card.  I added Wink of Stella to the penguin’s earmuffs, and the sentiment is an Ali Edwards’ stamp.  I also added a few My Mind’s Eye dots.

For this one, I stamped a Paper Smooches snowman onto a Simple Stories card.  Looks like he came that way, doesn’t he?  🙂  I stamped the Merry and Bright Studio Calico sentiment at the bottom, and used Wink of Stella on all the gifts and the special delivery box.  For the snowman, I painted him with Studio Calico Shine mist, and then covered that with Wink of Stella.  I wanted him to be shimmery, but not white (I know it is hard to see how he shimmers from this picture, but he really does!)  I also painted his scarf and nose with inks as well. The green paper is Simple Stories (I think), and everything is mounted on some red card stock.
