FLOA July Guest Designer-A Card

14 Jul

Here is another card I made with the Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer kit available here in the For the Luv of Art store.

I decided to play with the transparencies included in the kit, and used two on this card.

Supplies: Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer kit; Twine: The Twinery; Stamp: Lawn Fawn

Here are the steps I used to make this card:

1. Cut patterned paper to make card base.
2. Cut Happy Day from paper to create die cut.  Stamp sentiment.
3. Adhere die cut to transparency.  Adhere transparency to card base.
4. Cut banners from second transparency, and adhere to top right-hand corner of card.
5. Adhere flower stickers to card, using dimensional adhesive under some for added dimension.
6. Cut slit in top left-hand side of card, thread twine through, and adhere on the inside.  Adhere twine bows on top of twine, and below flower stickers.

Tip: to adhere the transparencies, add glue underneath the die cut, and any other areas where the glue will not be seen (flowers, etc.).  For other areas, a light coating of Tombow Mono Multi liquid glue dries clear as well.

So, there you have it-another card with the 100 Days of Summer kit.  There is still one left in the store, so snap it up while you can!
