Two Challenges And A Birthday

25 Mar

Here is a birthday card (belated) that I made for my dear friend Kelly.  I chose to play along with a couple of challenges as well-the Create blog’s challenge to use hexagons, and The Paper Variety’s sketch challenge.

The sketch looked like this:

Although this sketch was intended to be a layout, I had fun turning it into a card.  There was a dual challenge this week to add numbered journaling, but as I was making a card, I decided to loosely follow that challenge by saying two phrases on my card-Birthday Wishes, and Hello.  I did not add the numbering, so really I am just submitting it for the sketch challenge part.  🙂

Supplies: Paper and Letter Stickers: Lily Bee; Ampersand Sticker: Bo Bunny; Tag: Bananafish Studios; Butterfly: Studio Calico; Tape: K&Company; Silhouette file: Lori Whitlock; Other: Cardstock

I completely LOVE this Lily Bee line-it was my very favorite thing from CHA, so I am happy to finally have it in my hands!  I am also loving my new Bananafish goodies-they are hard to get because they are so popular, so I feel fortunate to have been able to collect a small stash.  🙂

Anyway, that’s my card-have a great day!
